Automotive Parts Management SystemVehicle/Application Management SystemWith the automotive.NET system, you have options when it comes to vehicle/application management.
For those who prefer to have complete control over the vehicles in the system, you'll have the option to use the built-in application management system which allows vehicles to be created and managed with the following criteria and more: year, make, model, model extension, engine, transmission type, drive type, etc. Creating and managing vehicles/applications works great for some clients, however for others, it is just too time consuming to maintain a complete and comprehensive listing of all years, makes and models that your company carries parts and products for. When managing vehicles/applications is not an option due to time constraints, lack of resources or any other reason, the automotive.NET system has the ability to use the AAIA data. AAIA is the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association and it has been the mission of AAIA to create a standard data set of vehicles/applications for the automotive industry which makes data exchange and data distribution much quicker and easier. By using the AAIA version of the automotive.NET system, you have the flexibility to have product and application mappings imported into the system when they are provided by the manufacturer. The major benefits of using AAIA data are:
AAIA Vehicle Database (ACES) CompatabilityFor those customers who prefer not to manage their own vehicle/application database, the automotive.NET system offers compatibility with the AAIA vehicle database. |
